Folar de folhas de Olhão

O Folar de Olhão é também conhecido como Folar de Folhas.

Tradicionalmente é um bolo feito na Páscoa mas na Very Típico encontra durante todo o ano.

A massa é feita de forma tradicional com um toque de erva doce e sumo de limão. Estendida em círculos, os quais são montados por camadas dentro de um tacho de alumínio. Cada Camada é regada com uma calda de manteiga, açúcar e canela, para manter este folar húmido e doce.

This year we have added a new Folar recipie to our online shop.

This well known Olhão cake is also called the Sheet cake, because of the way it is made.

This is a traditional Easter cake, but at Very Típcio we have it all year round.

The dough is worked in circles. The cake is then assembled in an aluminium pan in layers of dough, and syrup made of butter, sugar, and cinnamon, that’s what gives it the caramel texture, impossible to resist.
